Thanks for viewing our church site. Although it is still under construction we hope you like it. We would love to hear from our viewers.

  At Zion we are not your typical United Methodist church. We are very casual. We let the Holy Spirit lead and guide us. On July 29, 2007 our church was hit by lightning and we have been going through the doors that God has opened up for us ever since. It is not by our might or will but by His will and might we do what we do.

Monthly News Letter

Well it is May and Spring has come and gone. Or did it. I do not remember having Spring just Fall then Summer temperatures. Oh well life goes on.

Just think school is nearly out. Can you believe this, I cannot. I know that the children cannot wait to hear that last bell ring and it will be official, Summer time.

The fifth Sunday singing went well. Everyone seemed to have a great time. Thanks to everyone who helped and participated. The youth would like to say thanks to everyone who has helped them in raising funds for their trip to Disney World.

The National Day of Prayer was a great success. But as I think back on helping to set up the event I remember using the illustration of the worn out blue jeans for prayer. You do not see that anymore. People, I believe are afraid to come to the altar and pray. What will someone think is wrong with me if I go to the altar. The people around us should not matter. What matters is what we put into worshiping our Heavenly Father. I read this week that we are loosing a generation of men. I mean a

generation of week men. Men who may have a lot of zero’s at the end of a check but they lack what it means to be a man. And it is us who have let them down. The answer is Prayer. Ezekiel 36:26 says: …”I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.” We need men of prayer, men of God. The only way for this to become a reality is by falling down on our knees and crying out to God on their behalf.

Beginning May 9 at 5:30pm we will start a worship in prayer time at the church. A time for you to sing, pray, read, just meditate upon God. It will be a time for you to grow closer to Him.

All are welcome to Steven and Paula’s wedding Saturday May 12 at 4:00pm. A Fellowship dinner will follow.

Men’s Breakfast will be Sunday, May 13. Cooks should show up at 7:15 and we will eat at 8:00am.
